  • The ADIPB - Brussels language courses
    Logo ADIPB

The start of the new school year of the Academy for the Defense and Illustration of the Brussels Language (ADIPB) and the first Brussels language course of the year 2024 - 2025 will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Musée de Toone (rue du Marché aux Herbes, 66 in 1000 Brussels).

The ADIPB "Académie pour la Défense et l'Illustration du Parler Bruxellois".

This non-profit organization was threatened with dissolution after the death of its president Louise Claessens in 2007.

Jose Géal, Viviane Starck and Andrée Longcheval, all directors of the Théâtre Royal de Toone and founders of the ADIPB, took up the torch.

The Théâtre Royal de Toone now houses the ADIPB's head office, and has revitalized the association by organizing Brussels language courses, publications on the Brussels language and the ADIPB evening at Toone.

The ADIPB evening is also an opportunity for students to recite Fables and sketches in Bruxellois.

ADIPB classes are held at the Théâtre de Toone.

The aim of this association is to study the origins of the Brussels language through the history and popular traditions of our capital and its region. The association is also responsible for safeguarding and promoting the Brussels language.
